Whatcom Water Week
Whatcom Water Week is a week-long event that celebrates local water resources. Businesses, non-profit organizations and community groups celebrate the importance of water, share information about the state of the resource, offer stewardship opportunities, and expand awareness and appreciation of our marine
and fresh water resources and the role water plays in our lives.
Whatcom Water Week is organized by the Whatcom Watershed Information Network (WWIN). WWIN is a network of representatives from government agencies, businesses, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, tribes, and citizens who are involved and interested in marine and fresh water ecosystems and natural
resources education and outreach. The Whatcom MRC is active in the WWIN network, and contributes to Whatcom Water Week planning efforts annually, in addition to hosting a Water Week event.
