International Coastal Cleanup

September 14 | 10:00am - Noon

What: International Coastal Cleanup

When: 10 AM - noon on Saturday, September 14th

Where: Locust Beach and Semiahmoo Spit

Why: Come join the Whatcom Marine Resources Committee, RE Sources, Northwest Straits Surfrider Chapter, and Ocean Conservancy for the International Coastal Cleanup on Saturday, September, 14th from 10 AM to noon at either Locust Beach or Semiahmoo Spit. We will be cleaning up both of these beaches and tally up marine debris data to enter into the global international coastal cleanup database to help us better understand what trash we're finding on our beaches.

Light snacks and refreshments will be provided along with cleanup equipment- just bring yourself and dress for the weather on the beach! For Locust Beach, join us at the parking lot on the right off Locust Ave or find us on the beach. For Semiahmoo, meet us at the parking lot on your first left when you get to the park. Look out for sandwich board signs to help find your way.
